Absent
This exhibition will show a range of emotions from despair and loneliness to hope and appreciation as the artists explore the idea of absence and how it applies to their lives. The aim of the artists is to depict an absence of something in your life or the thing itself that is absent, be it a person, place, idea, or thing that is not present in your life personally or societally either in the past or present tense, whether the absence is desired or an uncontrollable consequence. The art should depict abundance surrounding absence, the tangible depiction of absence, or could depict vacancy, or show the effects of the absence. The artists may take this as seriously or as lighthearted as you wish.
PLONKERS & GOBSHITES
A short notice show, quick turn-around. Just make something new, be your ghoulish selves. Maybe a few things you haven’t shown people before. Some words to inspire your brain goo: Funky-mischievous-immature-random-retro-psycho- future-woodsy-fairy-punk-distopia-and-big-blobs-of-nothing-from-outerspace, or literally whatever your hearts desire. You can go big or itty bitty, all is welcome.
On Our Own Time
A Group Art Show by San Francisco State University students with an open-ended theme. The purpose of this show is to collaborate with my cohort and form bonds in our comunity by showing our artwork together.
